Metro and Bus

If you are planning to tour around the city we recommend you to buy a T10 ticket for 1 Zone or a 'Hola Barcelona Travel Card'. Just check which option is better for you.

T10 ticket for 1 Zone costs 10,95 € (Individual tickets cost 2,20€), you can use it up to 10 times (with 2 transport changes included during 1 hour after validation) and you can share it with your colleagues coming with you (sharing is caring!) Airport journeys NOT included (Remeber to always keep it with you during the travel and don't throw it away, as you might be requested to show or use it to get out of the metro stations). 

'Hola Barcelona Travel Cards' from 2 to 5 days (15€, 22€, 28,5€, 35€) that gives you unlimited travels for each day within Barcelona area and it also includes travels to the airport. These are personal tickets, so check if it really is useful for you.

Taxi

Taxis have in Barcelona charge an initial service tax of 2 euros and start counting from there. You can identify them by their characteristic black an yellow design.

AIRPORT - EL PRAT to Barcelona and back

Bus

Aerobus (A1 or A2) - Special service bus that takes you directly from the airport to several parts of the city. Launches every 5 minutes minutes from Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2) and has a standard cost of 5,90 €.

Line 46 - Normal bus between Airport and Barcelona-Plaça Espanya. Launches every 15 minutes and takes around 30 minutes. Normal tickets, T10 or Travel Card work just fine, although buses only sell single tickets.

Metro

You can go to Barcelona from the airport by taking Line 9 (L9) of metro. The ticket for this service costs 4,60 euros and takes around 30 minutes to get to Barcelona. L9 metro has a stop in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. It has connexion with L1, L3 and L5.

Train

There is also a train service (R2) that connects the airport with Sants station, Passeig de Gràcia Station and França Estation and usually launches every 30 to 60 minutes. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Sants. Normal metro tickets work with these service.

Taxi

 Taxi fares from the airport to city center costs around 30 euros. Depending on transit and concrete destination, it may vary.

TRAIN

High speed trains depart from most european cities with destination to Barcelona. Just check your countries' train services on this possibility. Sometimes, it might be a better option than taking a flight.

All high speed trains with destination to Barcelona, stop at Estació de Sants (Sants Station). From there you can easily take metro, bus or taxi to get to your hotel and move around Barcelona.
